I am reading that SCOTUS is leaning towards banning homelessness encampments. And what is their wonderful plan after that? Or is cruelty once again the point?

@gemswinc They'd be shoving the problem back into the legislature's lap, which is arguably where it ought to be -- but where it will join abortion rights and immigration in the pile of problems the legislature has never been able to solve.
As long as we have the huge disparities of wealth that we have today, we'll have homeless people. Real estate is a great place to put excess money, and the demand is self-sustaining -- i.e., a bubble, but it rarely bursts, and when it does it comes right back.
