Human nature. We are social creatures and have group mentality. We are more compassionate towards those in our group. Black vs White is and will always be a thing.
For the majority of our country's history, it has been lead legislatively and judicially by white men. When youre in the position of power to make laws and judge others, it is human nature to be harsh on those you see as outsiders.
Dont kid yourseld, justice is not blind here.
