I am quite concerned about the implications of Netanyahu‘s attack on pagers and walkie-talkies. Many of us in the US live with so many internet connected devices. This incudes stoves, refrigerators, fitness trackers, exercise bikes, etc.. Is peace of mind even possible at this point? Down the road, will a device/appliance in our own home injure or kill us? Thanks a lot Bibi! 😡apnews.com/article/ce6af3c2e6d

@HopeSeeker That's giving him too much credit as if it was an idea unique to him. Jester blew up a toaster once. 😂

@VirginMaryCandle You are probably correct. Could the difference be due to how much fear results? I didn't hear about the toaster. It probably happened before I knew about CoSo? A lot of us have heard about the exploding pagers and walkie-talkies…🥺

@HopeSeeker the toaster part was a joke. Long ago on the bird site someone had made some comment about Jester blowing up his toaster (or maybe a microwave) because they got into or something online. I don't remember the details of the story just always found it a fun little tale.

As to the first part of your response idk, it's obviously something that has crossed my mind but I really don't think about it. I don't trust anyone in any government enough so I wouldn't put it past them.

@VirginMaryCandle I had no idea the toaster part was a joke! Call me gullible, but if anyone could blow up my toaster, I think/hope it would be @th3j35t3r! (My toaster is not intelligent ~30 years old.He might still pull it off!) 🤣

@HopeSeeker
Worried your appliances will attack you now? This (free gift) Atlantic article addresses those fears and manages to be reassuring and depressing at the same time.

@elbutterfield Definitely worthwhile! No doubt there may be a bit of paranoia in evidence… 🤣

@HopeSeeker I'm not going to lie. I have four internet connected devices in my house. Two phones, one laptop and an Amazon Firestick.
I'm not keen on IoT *anyway* but given how the above was achieved (actual physical modification to the devices which were intercepted in transit) I think we're probably safer than our overactive imaginations would have us believe 💜

@stueytheround This makes sense. I haven’t connected our range to the internet. (In the before days I was worried about starting a fire if I started it while we were away.) I should go through each room / device and think about this in a new way. 💡

@HopeSeeker There were explosives planted in them, I believe.

Ideally, the wonderful people at our tech companies have not sold 80% of the planet devices that can be made to have their batteries explode via software.

But I think these ones were tampered with to enable them to explode.

@HopeSeeker Lithium Batteries According To A Reuters Story ..Are At Higher Risk Of Exploding With A Full Charged Device & Only Heat & Smoke With A 50% Charge ( BUT Who Runs Around Half-Charged?!?) & Lithium Batteries Are In EVs As Well …& Lithium Fires 🔥 Burn Hotter Than The Sun & Are Difficult To Extinguish 🙀
