Our wizard is a great person irl, but in D&D she jumps to conclusions.
Example: earlier in the week I wanted to cast detect magic to see if there are any -
Her - I wanna see if there are any spell scrolls
DM - you know he's casting detect magic right? Well you said it.
They got into a fight - who was going to get to take what out of the wizard's possessions while the wizard was still alive AND IN THE NEXT ROOM. They were confused when we got jumped by a very angry wizard.(2/2)
@lbtechguy I hope so but also I hope they don't because it's so hilarious. The DM and I just keep laughing in disbelief when they get going.
They are so excited about the whole campaign and to be fair they are all doing a great job roleplaying the characters. Just you know, didn't realize they thought this campaign was a game of Munchkin. 😂
@Hobyrim The DM can pepper in some additional consequences. A mother and children begging for food because they killed a random NPC earlier.
@Hobyrim @lbtechguy I decided to use eldritch blast once, and managed to kill 2 enemies AND a party member.
DM had to write in a way to bring him back the next week lol
@Hobyrim ime is helpful to have someone knowledgeable (? DM) help new players write their characters. My kid DM's as a job, and helped our family walk through the character choices, rolls, sheets, etc... and talked about what kinds of characters we wanted to play, why, how it would impact play. Is there anyone who could pause things and back up a bit?
@Hobyrim They will figure things out eventually.
