@R0G3R5R4NG3R5 there whole LA scene right now is like a weird funky breath of fresh air and I can't get enough of it. I found out about Vulfpeck cause they did a few crossovers with some of those artists like their collab with Cole for Bank Account that is sadly ruined by a dude singing it as he's recording it.
It's just raw music that hasn't had its soul sucked out by 30 different execs.
@Hobyrim Vulfpeck is a pretty awesome idea just in general. Their inspiration is bands like the Funk Brothers and The Meters, etc. Session musicians who made the hits for big name singers and frontmen. The actual musical genius behind the usually tame and vapid lyrical content (by comparison at least, in my oh so humble opinion ;) )
