I wanna ask for some advice, but I’m not really sure how so I’ll try to explain and I’ll let you jump in however you feel is suitable.
To preface I’m on the autism spectrum - high functioning, but not without struggles.
I’ve lost a lot of jobs because of the side effects, because of people’s biases, or because of my own misunderstandings, and that’s exhausting and incredibly disheartening.

There are many resources available to help adults with autism in Canada, including:
AIDE Canada
This network provides access to online resources, employment opportunities, local programming, and more. AIDE Canada also has six in-person locations across the country.
Canadian Pension Plan Disability (CPP-D) benefits
Adults with autism can apply for CPP-D benefits, which are based on their contributions to the Canadian Pension Plan during their working years.

Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP)
This program offers financial assistance, prescription drug and vision care benefits, and help finding and keeping a job. To be eligible, you must be 18 or older, have a disability that is likely to last a year or more, and have financial need.
Speech and language therapy
Speech-language therapy can help improve communication skills, such as asking for help, having a conversation, and using a speech output device.
