@HawkHorton I have been down here a few years. I recall thinking the mid 30s were not cold, but almost warm when I lived in PA.

@HawkHorton It is good 3 seasons of the year. Summer is too hot so I stay inside much or the time. There is a lot to do but I do miss PA. If I had it to do over again I would have stayed in PA and come down here in the winter. We were snow birds and came down in the motorhome in the winter. My wife wanted to move down here and so here we are.

@BFBucky1 My wife wants to move down here. I do not.

@HawkHorton It can be very nice. My wife said she did not consider the storms. Here we also have tornadoes which are rare in PA and here we do not have a basement.

Home owners insurance is way high.
We are lucky in that the house we bought has solar panels but otherwise electrical bills from running the AC would be high, $300 a month for our 1500sq/ft. Solar panels also push up insurance.

We are 5 miles from the gulf at 51’ elevation. During Ian even Orlando
got flooded.

I was stationed here in the AF for two years. I do not recall it being this hot and the humidity is even worse.
