Just watched the entire Harris-Walz interview on CNN. I liked just about everything Kamala said. Unfortunately a lot of that was tap dancing. She avoided direct answers in order to stump. Still voting for her but a bit disappointed.
What topic did Harris dodge in your opinion?
@LnzyHou We stopped counting at 5 questions. Her answers were great, just not what was asked.
That’s her prerogative. Some questions are designed to humiliate, confound & obfuscate.
@Toni_Walker @LnzyHou @Graci I didn’t see any tap dancing.
This is why questions aren’t answered.
Still haven’t heard what questions she refused to answer. I keep asking.
@LnzyHou @Toni_Walker @BFBucky1
BASH: What made you change that position at the time?
HARRIS: Well, let’s be clear. My values have not changed. I believe it is very important that we take seriously what we must do to guard against what is a clear crisis in terms of the climate. And to do that, we can do what we have accomplished thus far.
@LnzyHou @Toni_Walker @BFBucky1
BASH: And was there some policy or scientific data that you saw that you said, “Oh, okay. I get it now”?
HARRIS: What I have seen is that we can — we can grow and we can increase a thriving clean energy economy
There are more. Just read.
Harris’ controlled answers don’t bother me.
@LnzyHou You know, there was a time answers like these would be considered the sign of a strong candidate and one who was able to focus on the issues and solve them.
Now if you're not ranting and raving, telling lies and making a spectacle it's considered weakness and evasive.
When in the hell is sanity going to make a comeback?
@Tacitus_Kilgore @LnzyHou @Graci @Toni_Walker @BFBucky1 Any 'undecided' that's swayed by one TV interview is a moron and deserves the orange felon as president. Problem is, the rest of us don't deserve that.
@Tacitus_Kilgore @Graci @Toni_Walker @BFBucky1
It’s made a comeback.
Her name is Kamala Harris.
I’ve been a campaign manager multiple times. Her answers are NOT evasive. They are considered & provide opportunity to fill in more details at her will not the interviewer’s.
Harris is under no obligation to answer or flesh out any topic unless she’s ready.
@LnzyHou Oh indeed, I am in agreement with you. I'm merely stating how times have changed. Some of it has been caused by MSM failing to employ basic journalistic standards, the rise of media outlets such as Fox and Newsmax (but those have their roots in tabloid newspapers). And lastly, unscrupulous entities who have the money and influence to flood false narratives.
@Graci @Toni_Walker @BFBucky1
@Tacitus_Kilgore @Graci @Toni_Walker @BFBucky1
I know you are. If answers aren’t outrageous or combative, the candidate is evasive.
That’s the standard with democrats but not republicans. They can do or say anything without consequences.
@LnzyHou @Graci @Toni_Walker @BFBucky1 I believe someone in this chat responded with something on my filter list. I'll post the list so you can fix your reply.
@Tacitus_Kilgore @LnzyHou @Graci @Toni_Walker Didn’t anybody ever tell J. D. Vance about ……. Oh! Never mind.
@Graci I appreciate hearing your perspective. I had interpreted it differently. The rest of that sentence was, "we can increase a thriving clean energy economy without banning fracking."
I took that to mean we don't have to ban fracking if we focus on this healthier clean energy model that is already working. She said it a couple of times, in a couple of different ways, but Dana wanted to get the sound bite where Kamala said something contradictory to her stance from 2019.
Thank you for clarifying. Partial information is misleading.
@Graci in all fairness, Dana Bash tried to trap her into embarrassing herself. All things considered, Kamala kicked ass. Had the interview been conducted by Rachel Maddow, she'd have been much more precise and given much more information. I'll never understand why she agreed to be interviewed by a known trumpanzee kiss up.
