#Marijuana in #NorthCarolina in a nutshell:
State Senate passes a medical mj bill. House refuses to put it on the floor.
Senate makes adjustments, more conservative language.
House refuses to put it on the floor.
Repeat.
Latest includes a permanent ban on recreational use, even if it becomes allowed Federally. Also tightens sales of hemp products like the Deltas.
And it probably still won't get on the House floor.
That's so terrible that they won't even consider it medically. I don't even use it personally but denying it for medical use seems cruel to me. I understand it helps a lot of people, and politicians should understand that too.
Those old conservatives are something else, for a lot of reasons, but they're uniquely bizarre for this particular (unpopular) stance. Loco.

I promise you there's a thriving illegal pot farming industry in N.C. They're growing it here, there, and everywhere. I know this for a 100% rock solid, seen it for myself fact.

@Loffreni Yep. Proof it's not about governing for the populous or even governing for your party. They're appeasing outside interests, as they always have.
