@Graci I don't think I was really _consciously_ aware, at the time, of what the experience would be like for someone who was really impaired. Of course, I saw a few folks in wheelchairs, who had friends with them helping them out.
But when my body became impaired, and I thought of the event I'd attended, I knew "there's no way I could handle a event like that reasonably any more."

I have to wonder if there is a strategy behind July being disability pride month - right on the heels of the other one
@Graci I never went to any pride event, until 2019, not long before I became disabled. It was one of the most uplifting events I ever participated in.
When I became disabled, I just figured "Oh well, that's that. I guess my first was my last".
