@GaryPoole they briefly mention that they grow fast & spread... if you choose to plant them (and they are lovely plants), first make sure you can eat sunchokes without gastric distress, & second, CONTAIN THEM with some kind of deep barrier. any you miss digging up in the fall will make more. there were a few plants here when i moved in. they are now the entire length of my 100' driveway & well out into the lawn area. we just keep them mowed now...
