@GaryPoole milk chocolate has... wait for it... dairy milk. this has one of the plant substitutes for milk
but yeah, chocolate is plant based. dark chocolate doesn't have dairy

@GaryPoole Cocoa is, chocolate often isn't. Milk, cream and "milk solids" eg curds are all often included in chocolate. Even some darker chocolates have a little.
