As we get closer to the holidays, an important question has come to mind: which type of booze belongs in eggnog?
@GaryPoole I believe brandy is traditional, but whisky is good and I'd bet rum is good too. Moonshine is just showing off 🤣
@stueytheround I added moonshine to the choices since I live in Tennessee, and well... it's kind of a thing around these parts. 😜
@GaryPoole I chose the beverage of your people.😌 I'll just help myself to the still in the back of the radio station.
@GaryPoole Trick is to make it from scratch then you're in control of the sweetness.
@stueytheround make which from scratch: the eggnog or the rum? 😂 😜
@GaryPoole 🤣 If you can make rum, I'm heading over to your place!
@GaryPoole That egg nog trick is GENIUS.
Of course, my arteries will now look like the tunnels from The Descent by New Year's, but that is a risk I am willing to take. My cardiologist wants to buy a boat anyway.
@theamericanjerk I’ve been using eggnog in my coffee for years. Not only is it tasty, but it helps get me in the holiday spirit.
My ex (all of them) loved the stuff.
@GaryPoole A smoky scotch is a good addition when you want to change it up a bit.
In my holiday coffee ☕️☕️☕️
@GaryPoole I don't have experience with moonshine, but any of the others are good.
@GaryPoole
My mom always made homemade eggnog every Christmas. She used brandy. So I do now as well. But bourbon and moonshine work as well.
@GaryPoole
Brandy and rum beat out bourbon - in Tennessee?! And moonshine at only 8%. Times are changing, my grandpa would hang his head in shame! 😔 😂
Generally, I just use eggnog as coffee creamer during the holidays, but when it comes time to "adult" it up, I generally go with bourbon, though brandy is nice. Rum, however, is just too sweet.
