In honor of #NationalWaffleDay, the #QuestionOfTheDay today is simple: What goes best with waffles?
Some of the odder answers I got from my listeners this morning where peanut butter & jelly, shrimp, friend chicken (which makes sense, since I'm in the South), ice cream and chocolate syrup, and beer.
I have weird listeners.

@GaryPoole I had no idea waffles and fried chicken were even a thing until a few years ago. To me all fried chicken needs is a salad and some good fries. Fries are optional. All good waffles need are fruit and whipped cream. Frozen waffles are just a means to which maple syrup is fed to the body and unless it’s real maple syrup, why bother. If it is real maple syrup, you’re wasting it on frozen waffles.
