@NancySmith @GaryPoole Yes, especially about maps and navigation and timing. Had to meet the boss at a certain time and place after wandering the county all day. And each sample had to be labeled with location and marked on the map.

@GaryPoole From back in the days when offices used lots of paper, I had a weekend job where all I did was pull staples out of the carpet with a pair of needle-nose pliers.
@GaryPoole Collecting mosquito larvae for a graduate student’s research. This was in the mid-70s so I had just a paper topo map, medicine jars for samples, and aluminum saucepan duct taped to a wooden pole to catch the buggers. Had to be careful not to scare them to the deep water, so no shadows cast over the water or heavy footsteps when approaching their habitat.
