@Gambit_1 They probably could. It would mean, at the minimum, listening to their expert employees, even when the resulting course of action is costly. I don't know if the decision makers for Boeing can regard that as a win.

Nor should they. Boeing clearly has chosen profit over engineering. When will we stop expecting the opposite?

@LnzyHou you're absolutely right. They went from being an engineering firm that made profits and turned into a profit center that only occasionally focuses on engineering. I just hope no one else has to die.
