@mcfate Do they though? I mean, they SAY they believe all kinds of things that they heard on AM radio, but the few of them that I've had actual face to face conversations with will admit that they don't when confronted with facts and a bit of ridicule in a mostly good-natured way. I'd guess that the majority know full well that they're full of shit and just don't want to admit their real motivations. In my limited personal experience, it mostly comes down to fear and racism. 🤷♂️

It is a cult
they know it is a lie. But believing the lie is true is how you let others know you are part of the cult
What only matters is THEY win
@Ironworker229 @Kinnison @mcfate yeah but do they actually mean it when they say they don’t believe. If the proof is in their actions, then I think they’re lying to you because that’s how they vote.
@Ironworker229 @Kinnison @mcfate that’s been my experience too. They vote against a boogeyman they create and manufacture demons to hate.
@Gambit_1 Honestly, in my thankfully limited experience they don't believe or believe _in_ anything. They vote entirely with their feelings and biases. It's not a rational thing with any particular thought process as far as I can tell. @Kinnison @mcfate
