Dishes are done. Coffee is in. Garden is fertilized. Run felt great this morning; knocked 45 seconds off my mile and got in under 10 minutes. Going to be hot today so no working on gutters. Either I do work work or I find something else to occupy my time. Maybe I need a new hobby.
@GrandmaJ My brain has trouble turning off. If I wake up in the middle of the night, I often will not be able to go back to sleep. However, I am happy to report though that I spent the day napping and reading for pleasure and will spend the evening under the pergola enjoying the yard after it cools off a bit :) it was a lovely day. I hope your day was equally wonderful ๐
@Foxthorn Way to go! Iโm proud of ya! #ApprenticeToGrandmaJ #PassedTheTest
@GrandmaJ I don't always succeed at unplugging and recharging, but I understand the importance of it and I'm trying to be better.
@Foxthorn I really wish my daughter would learn that. Sheโs definitely a Type A. Works all the time and seems at loose ends when she isnโt working. She will probably work till she keels over. I wish she would learn to stop and enjoy things a little.
@GrandmaJ As I said, I'm not very good at it. However, I'm very fortunate to have coworkers who care about me and yell at me when I'm working too much, and a company who at least gives lip service to caring about work/life balance. It was also a bit eye opening when my manager calculated the $$$ associated with my overtime thus far this year.
@Foxthorn For the long game, take some time outs. The game will last longer if you do.
@Foxthorn Why work all the time??? I seem to have friends (and my daughter) who just work, work, work! Take time to just sit down and breathe. Enjoy looking at your garden, watch the birds, just be there!
