Well, something has eaten my salvia plants down to the bare bones--seemingly overnight

I am not sure what to do, now

I haven't been able to find the culprit

Do I cut it back and hope it will regrow?

Or give up and try again next year?

The salvia are durable. You can cut it back and it will pop right back even better, if not this season the next.

@FireMonkey

I'll cut it back tomorrow--it looks tragic right now

I have to figure out what did this so I can prevent it in future :/

@Minholkin Could it be slugs/snails? I use eggshells or even diatomaceous earth (don't have salvia, but have others that they like), though obviously that's no good if it gets wet
