@FireMonkey I was wearing my helmet, though I did not hit my head regardless.
The bleeding stopped by the time I got home. But my shoulder still hurts.

Good for you. I've got to shop up a decent helmet that I like. I have two that suck and so I don't wear them. Typically on my neighborhood outings I go helmetless, but if I go for a longer ride I want one. Today I did 20 minutes on the interstate because there was no other way. Time of day, traffic, and weather said it was okay. If any of those had been different I'd have helmeted up.
