@FireMonkey I still firmly believe beer is one of the underpinnings of modern civilization. It was far safer to drink than water at some periods in our history.
Some periods?
I'll go with now.
Early sailors got paid in drafts of grog - basically rum and ... ?
Modern civilization?
Fuggedaboudit.
Beer has been documented in 5000+ y.o. clay pottery.

Hi ho!
@FireMonkey Yeah, exactly. We would have never made it to today if it weren't for beer thousands of years ago. That's one of the reasons I like brewing and drinking it.
@MakerWerks
I used to brew many moons ago. Then I decided I could afford to pay people to brew beer for me. I made a wise choice, and my kitchen thanks me.
@MakerWerks
Yes, my friend who introduced me to brewing got much more into it and we would have weekend brews in his garage/brewery.
@FireMonkey The friend I taught how to brew has recently built a huge garage/workshop next to his house. We will be setting up a small home brewery in there.
