I have just the opposite impression. To me CNN used to be the more left leaning station before MSNBC showed up, moving right since Warner acquired it in about 2019.

Where do you go to for news now. I gather from a lot of independent sources: subs to the Lever (Sirota), Proof (Abramson), and a few others, as well as subs to the Guardian and WaPo. I watch very little of mainstream networks, just youtube clips of interest.
@FireMonkey both CNN and MSNBC have been pushing left for years. MSNBC is so bad now I stopped watching it about 4 months ago. I watched it everyday for a dozen years. Now I never even consider turning on the channel.
