Maybe unpopular opinion here: I understand a lot of the backlash Boebert is getting from her recent antics. She's made a fool of herself. After basing her career on ridiculing others she's made herself the object of ridicule by behaving crudely and offensively in public.

But...

Some of the forms that ridicule she has earned are appearing in are slut-shaming and bordering on revenge porn. Hate to piss on the parade but it's making me uncomfortable.

@Fellixe

Genuinely curious. Can one call her out w/o it becoming slut-shaming?

@ATXJane Certainly. But memes emphasizing her breasts, addressing her as "Boobert", and maybe even putting the gropiest part of the theater video on a short loop all seem to fall into that unfortunate category.

@Fellixe

πŸ’― I feel uncomfortable with all your examples.

I was just trying to figure out how to call a woman out for what I see as crass behavior w/o it seeming to be for the purpose of slut shaming. Maybe crass is sufficient.

Follow

@ATXJane I think it's fair to what it is. She was basically masturbating a guy in public. She wanted it seen so I have no issue describing it.

It's the embellishments and name calling with sexualized monikers. Was she thinking with her hormones? Seems fair to say so. But if you think playing Hunter Biden's worst undressed moments before Congress was revenge porn then what is it to cut her surveillance video into a softcore porn loop?

She's a horrible person. We shouldn't let her diminish us

@Fellixe

I agree. I’ve been all in for disagreeing without being uncivil, which in no way means you can’t speak the truth or powerfully call out behavior, decisions or statements that are unacceptable.
