Maybe unpopular opinion here: I understand a lot of the backlash Boebert is getting from her recent antics. She's made a fool of herself. After basing her career on ridiculing others she's made herself the object of ridicule by behaving crudely and offensively in public.

But...

Some of the forms that ridicule she has earned are appearing in are slut-shaming and bordering on revenge porn. Hate to piss on the parade but it's making me uncomfortable.

@Fellixe For my part, I wonder what the exact point of shaming someone like Lauren Boebert is. She's *deliberately*, publicly hideous. Do you point a finger at someone who jumps into cesspools for chump change as part of a larger scam and say to them "You're covered in filth"? Would they actually *feel* shame? The people who put this grotesque into office don't seem capable of any.

@Marc_T_Benedict I don't know what would have any real impact on her. She and politicians like her seem to run on the philosophy that ignoring any criticism is an integral part of being successful.

This and their own lack of boundaries seems to have the unfortunate side effect of drawing more and harsher criticism. As if their lack of reaction to it makes it okay to turn up that criticism to previously unacceptable levels.

But instead it supports their persecution narrative.
