It's easy to feel helpless in the face of #MassShootings, and now the death of #TyreNichols.
But there are things we can do!

@p3R1n01D DemCast does great work. I believe the GOP NEEDS to have pressure put on them. I live in a blue state but a red county. My local reps need a phone call, I think! We must fight against becoming inured to this era of mass shootings.
@p3R1n01D When Columbine happened, a nation was grief-stricken and stunned. Now, itโs just another day in America. Itโs heartbreaking. How did we get here? I have no problem with the 2A. I have a huge problem with citizens owning weapons of war whose only purpose is to murder a lot of human beings at one time. The NRA condones and dare I say, embraces all the barbarism attached. Iโm old enough to remember when the NRA supported common-sense gun legislation. But, โnuff said. We fight on!

You expressed my thinking to a T!
I'm in my mid-50s, so I know what you mean. They actually emphasized the need for hunter safety classes, etc. There's some dark, dark money involved there.
And they've been howling about the "Gun Grab" since I was a kid! ๐ I'm a gun owner myself, reasonable stuff, and have always supported strong gun laws. I also don't believe assault riffles belong in the hands of civilians.
And yes, as you said, we fight on! ๐ช โค๏ธ
