@Siren_six his help is more telling how it will be done in the end and less explaining the actual how so it's kind of helpful. I'm not trying to say my dad isn't a good dad it's just sometimes people say things that im like " oh that happens to me all the time" and then its actually something not so good. also im sorry if im bugging you and thank you for responding

@Eythen No worries. I think Patrick is saying an 8 year old is at the stage of development where they might still need a more guided approach to homework. With that said, I still think it’s appropriate for an older child to get that too, I think it depends on how familiar they are with the subject matter. I think he’s also trying to give a wider list of examples someone might encounter when young, too. Like for me, I resonate with the 12 year old, the piano and the last one.
