Went to the Library today, to get my son a library card....As we are standing there, chatting with the Librarian, a woman with a small child next to us says, loudly: "Stop licking that!" (the counter)
Kid: "I wasn't licking it!" (he was)
Woman: "Okay, cause if you do you'll get sick and then I'll laugh at you."

I stopped my conversation, made eye contact with the Librarian, stiffy turned to my right, side-eyed the kid, then made side-eye contact with the mother.

Left right after that, and PROMPTLY sanitized my hands! There was a lot about that "convo" that just wasn't right......

@Evereigh

Yes there was. Im actually very polite & quiet in public spaces, unless it involves publicly abusing kids. I hate to say it but I probably would’ve blurted out, “Wow, would you really laught at your child for getting sick??”
That’s really shaming.
I’ve seen moms pop their kids in the women’s bathroom & I give the child a voice by yelping, “Ow!” or “Ouch!”
It does sorta make a point. 🤷‍♀️
