This is no different from the entertainment industry, where media hosts are provided questions to ask the star they have for two minutes.

The host easily could have ignored the suggested questions. She didn't. That's why she got fired.

The interviewer added the comment, “It wasn’t negotiable,” which caused the flap.

@EileenKCarpenter Of course, it's negotiable. 😊 The White House needed to get their candidate on that radio station. If the station says no, then the candidate doesn't get to address a critical demographic.

As a part-time political consultant and staffer, I played these games with the media all the time. Most were reasonable, but a few wanted to play games.

I do have to wonder who in the campaign was so adamant. They only made things worse.
