I've just found this in my inbox, from the Smithsonian. It's fascinating, and very rare!! Thought I'd share it with you all, so....

i remember seeing this bilaterally gynandromorphic cardinal in the news around a year ago.
@Dreamnghrt Interesting. I knew chickens used Z and W chromosomes. I did not know that applied to all birds.
