I'm actually not sure what's causing any pandemonium about this. Head Start, early childhood education, free meals, healthcare, child tax credits - all keep kids in school and learning, which has a measurable impact in shrinking the school to prison pipeline.

Ditto. I'm agreeing with Walz. That's what I meant. We've became lackadaisical about education/childcare since like 70s which resulted in our current societal pandemonium.
