The dude in Florida who went viral for saying he was staying on his boat? Well, he set up a GoFundMe, collected 20K, and then accepted the mayor's offer of transport to shelter.

It's always a grift, y'all.

Oh wait - now he's back and insisting he's not going to the shelter - more viral moments, moar money. Insisting it's a showdown (on camera) with the government who can't force him to leave, blah blah blah.

Did I mention he's a "content creator"?

Sigh.

There are REAL aid groups helping REAL people. And this guy is sucking up the oxygen.

@Cosmichomicide golly, anyone can say they live in a boat and need a goFundMe to stay afloat during a hurricane.

@Cosmichomicide It's going to be hard to spend that when he's drowned or crushed.

@Cosmichomicide I don't give money to people who want help doing something idiotic. Let them follow my example: when I do something idiotic, I do it on my own!
