Part of the agenda is a plank. Gabby Giffords is a shot across the bow, unfortunately.
Mr. Cosmic has cousins in AZ and they rightfully love and adore Mark and Gabby. Giffords (the org) does great work, gun control is a key issue.
But there are solid blue and swing gun states where background checks and waiting periods are fine, but registration makes them antsy. Change is a process.
It's definitely a needle the campaign must stay on message to thread.

She mentioned it in her speech today from campaign HQ in Wilmington, so no, #GunSafety still VERY much part of the agenda.
Honestly, this isn't going to represent a sea change on policy.
