I wanted to pull this out of adjacent topics and focus on women's pain management.
It's abysmal and even more stark for minority women. Anecdotal, but Mr. Cosmic and I both had (different) surgeries in the same month some years ago. We both received the same pain prescription. I got three days, no refill. He got a week, 1 refill.

Reproductive pain management is particularly awful, pregnant or not.
Fibroids, IUDs (coming and going), menstrual cramps, child birth, miscarriage, biopsies, and on and on.
They gave Mr. Cosmic a local for a damned splinter removal in his foot, y'all. The man walks on callouses. I swear he doesn't feel Legos.
PS. I do not want to take away his pain management. I'd just like the same consideration. 🤷
