Tang and Lindsey are in a slap fight about abortion. As to that, they are both wrong. But Lindsey wrote a response stating that he was going to put forward legislation requiring fetal anaesthesia at 15 weeks.
This is a TRAP law that black letter requires an abortion be more expensive and more complex. Surgical abortions are already done under anesthesia - this is also a personhood bill, requiring separate fetal procedures.
@Cosmichomicide Is this a war on women or what? 😡
@Cosmichomicide Surgical abortions are not with anesthesia. I ran 2 abortion clinics. Some clinics give a valium or similar before the procedure.
Oh, I understand that, but zero chance of explaining that while later 2nd trimester terminations may be surgical and the boys are more interested in fetal pain than maternal pain anyway.
I don't think "from this point to this point, it's a valium, but if this or this or that, then it's a procedure, unless..." when the other side is shrieking "It feels MOAR pain than the mother as it DIES!"
I would also argue, having had one, that a valium is about as sufficient for an abortion as it is for an IUD insertion, but that's a conversation for a different day.
@Cosmichomicide Agreed.
