Ah, Indiana slithers into the news with a proposed bill to outlaw trans persons, legalize child marriage, and nullify all same sex marriages.

What this means when they pass it and the SCOTUS upholds it is states can nullify legal contracts from other states and same sex couples wake up with all kinds of legal issues around insurance, children, property.

Meanwhile, Republicans are pushing to nationalize "Constitutional Carry" (if you are white and can afford a gun, you can carry it to your niece-daughter's preschool teacher conference).

The end game is to have SCOTUS declare "Founding Values" - guns, child labor, child marriage, prison labor, book bans, reproductive management of breeding stock, etc - federal.

I'm so disgusted with these people.

@Cosmichomicide just as, until 1953, it was illegal for whites and Asians to marry in Montana, and legal marriages of this type from other states were considered null and void in Montana. the Supreme Court case that ended anti-miscrgenation laws was Loving v. Virginia (US 388.1) in 1967, but this court would likely overturn that one like they did Roe.
"Constitutional Carry" - no such thing. Scalia made that up. anyway, you're right. Republicans want to party like it's 1889!

@Cosmichomicide I did research on this because I lived in Montana and am married to an Asian.
