Medical people in the comments are BEGGING YOU to get a flu shot. They say it's been shown to be 48% effective in the Southern Hemisphere.
@artisanrox my appt is in 45 minutes, no kidding. I’m also getting my second shingles shot. I’ve never gotten the flu shot before but I feel like it’s a good idea this time. Look for me to be posting kinda cranky the next couple of days as I recover.
@FreyaMeansLady @artisanrox Probably not cranky from any side effects, but your arm is probably gonna hurt like hell. Both the shingles shot and the flu shot left mine unusually sore.
Get your ice packs and aspirin ready.

@Cosmichomicide @artisanrox Oh my dog! I barely felt the flu shot, but I totally felt the shingles shot. It feels like she hit me in the arm with a baseball bat even though she did a really good job. Yes I had shingles when I turned 30 and it turned into blood poisoning and nearly killed me. I had no problem doing this. I’m not into nerve pain if I can avoid it. OUCH BTW 😣

But, it's definitely better than getting shingles 😬
