Covid test negative. Twice. Yes, I was still sick as hell. No, it doesn't always have to be covid to be really damned nasty. We were in all sorts of places after Mr. Cosmic's surgery, with varying degrees of mask wearing.
Just do the world, your family, and yourself a favor. Mask up. It's good for a lot of winter crud, not just covid. Thanks!
My daughter tested positive AFTER I had spent part of a weekend staying with her. I tested negative every time, but felt like crud for a good part of the next two weeks.
As Lady Syn kept reminding me: “Sometimes a sinus infection is JUST a sinus infection.”

@MarshScarecrow Indeed. Every time I coughed or wheezed or sneezed or didn't eat a hearty portion of whatever, someone asked me about my covid status.
It's gonna take a while as a society to move beyond that reaction - I just wish we could take the good habits of masking, hand washing, social distancing, test kits, etc. and incorporate them into our culture. We'd probably beat back a lot more than covid.
