I really don't want to believe that the media and foreign states try to influence our elections. But then you see stuff like this that, amazingly, shows dramatic drops coming in gas prices. Right after the midterms. Putin wants MAGAs in power, and the Saudis damned sure do.
@Committovote I'm waiting for ours to drop. Granted we had a bit of a drop this week, this was due to our location (where I work), finally looking further than 5 miles away (we now look up to 25 miles away).
But seriously, gas prices are still ridiculous.
@Committovote Oil corporations set the price at the pump. Fossil fuel is big business and they spend a lot on Republican races.
@feloneouscat That too. The price of crude has been falling pretty steady for the past 6m and it looks like it's trending lower. https://www.marketwatch.com/investing/future/cl.1
@Committovote BUT where you can see where oil companies screw us is the difference between diesel and gasoline. For example, during 2020 the difference dropped to a couple of cents. Now it can be as high as a dollar or more.
Everything is shipped by vehicles running diesel. And those increased costs are passed along to you.
@Committovote Wow.
