Dad once took me to a boxing match at Radio City Music Hall.

He gave me his old 70's full length sheepskin coat, and I tried to not seem impressed by all the celebrities.

I felt someone watching me, turned to see Spike Lee & his trademark intense gaze. I nodded. He nodded back.

Walking away as cool as I could, but ended up in front of the stage just as Whitney came out.

She kept looking down into my eyes, smiling at me & my ridiculous coat

@Pungent wow! I once had the pleasure of standing behind him in line at a drinks bar for several minutes.

I could not imagine why they made him stand in line like the rest of us other than I think he just, wanted to? Extremely casual.

I bet he liked your coat.

While everyone was mingling about, he was seated, people watching from a distance. Just the personification of cool.

My dad was having a blast, introducing himself to various big shots as if they should already know who he is.

And they fell for it all the time. That was how I ended up playing my guitar and smoking a joint with Michelle Rodriguez on his living room sofa.
