@Agatha this year yes. Today no. Been trying to leave it off as late as possible because the energy company insists I give them just a ton of money when I have it on. They’re kind of jerks about it too. “Pay us or we’ll turn your service off” kind of garbage. 😏
But it’s too muggy. I’m gonna start growing stuff.
We had to leave ours on over the damn winter this year. Muggy. Mosquitoes. It was awful. Until we get the new windows we can't keep ours open (no screens because a certain Aussie Shepherd kool-aid man'd through them even though she has a dog door). New ones are double hung so I can open the tops and avoid the unpleasant destruction.

@peeppeepcircus @Agatha my late cat used to cut the bottoms of the screens at the base like a friggen burglar. No burstings. Did yours also spot a squirrel?
She's an Aussie. Neither scared nor angry - simply in a hurry to get to the squirrels and recognizes that involves a straight line. 😭
We need new insulation. We have hardly any. When we rip off House's siding we'll do that.
