The paw went up when I went to sit down.

He’s right. He was there first. *grumble*

He’s lucky he’s cute.

@Coffee_and_Salt I tell Ernie that all the time. He is extremely lucky he’s so damn cute.

@Coffee_and_Salt They know and they take complete advantage of it. But that’s ok, I never had children so I just think of this as an easy teenage rebellion to deal with compared to what I’ve seen friends and family have to endure.

@cjcrew that’s a fantastic comparison! A cat is so much like a teenage, that’s hilarious. All moody and and independent 😂

@Coffee_and_Salt I’ve thought that for many years, dogs are perpetual 2 year olds and cats are perpetual teenagers.

@cjcrew as my dog is making big huffy pouty sounds about not being played with on his terms your words ring exceptionally true.

@Coffee_and_Salt I won’t say Ernie’s is the world’s best beggar but, he can get an actual tear to form when I don’t give him some of whatever I’m eating. They know what they’re doing.

@cjcrew a tear?! Oh the drama! Ernie could do commercials with those skills!

@Coffee_and_Salt He’s good I tell ya! Knew he would be, his mama was a special dog and he is a lot like his mama except he hasn’t bitten anyone. His mom bite the same person, twice. Can’t blame her, he was annoying and I would’ve bitten him too if he wasn’t so disgusting.

@cjcrew it’s so cool that you’ve had mama and son. How neat to be able to follow their personalities.

And she sounds like she had a good judge of character.

@Coffee_and_Salt I didn’t have his mama, my friend’s did. They’re the ones who gifted me Ernie because Willow and I developed such a close bond. It is cool to have that knowledge and know where he gets certain weird traits. Ernie and I stayed with them for a couple days, Everyone was leaving so we crated Ernie because he was young and lived to mark everything. They got back first and said Ernie sounded just like his dad when he wanted out of the crate.

@cjcrew that’s adorable as all get out. Pups behaving like their dads… great. Now I want a pup again. I can do this. I can fight this urge.

@Coffee_and_Salt I’ve reached the age where I know I can’t get another pet since I won’t be likely to outlive them. My youngest cat is 6, the oldest I think he’s 15-16 and Mr Ernie, well he’s more likely to be taken in by someone in the family or the friends who gave him to me if he outlives me.

I don’t like to think about it but it’s necessary to do so. I need to find someone/someplace to take my cats. There’s nothing around here that I’d trust.
