Seems the forward team fucked up and the ones working the day either weren’t listened too—‘hey Bob why don’t we have assests on that roof I can see?’….or 45 continued to choose his ‘best and brightest’. We aren’t living in ‘normal times’ in the US…and given Schedule F and Project 2025–I would rather keep competent to ‘mostly competent.’

It doesn't, and she should be held accountable, but one thing I'd like to know is how many heads of the secret service were called on to resign when previous assassination attempts were made, and whether their mistakes, real or imagined, were credited to their gender or race.

Although, if she resigns or gets fired for political reasons, to "build bridges" with a bunch of right wing douche canoes or whatever, she could definitely get an excellent job in the private sector and probably make lots of money.

I don’t see how she messes up though. Did she make procedures lax, tell the agents that they don’t need to follow protocol? Yeah, the buck stops at the top, but the agents and possibly the police are the ones who messed up.

Also its just one persons opinion, the SubStack, it is not ever one on the right

The substack does say that, but some politicians here are calling her a DEI hire and demanding her resignation, so there's that too.
I should note that I do not know the first thing about security so can't really say who messed up here. I'm not saying one way or another, I don't know.
I just recognize the pattern of attacking someone for political reasons to rile up a base that dislikes literally everything DEI.
And who would replace her, too?

She's also not the first head of a secret service that has messed up pretty badly.
And I assume she has more expertise than most people, regardless of gender, or she wouldn't have gotten the job. She may have been the best for the job. Of course, that's not the narrative here.
I wonder why people are going after her specifically and the secret service in general though? 🤔 That's another good question, and one I don't have the answer to.
