@CinnamonGirlE @BlueMan2 I had a similar experience. During the Covid years, I wore masks, sanitized my hands after grocery shopping, stayed away from crowds, didn’t travel. During that time I didn’t have a single upper respiratory illness (cold/flu) when normally I would have at least two a year. Anecdotal, sure, but I noticed the change.

The causation is real. I never saw a year in which people didn't get the flu. Not before and not since.

@CinnamonGirlE From my own childhood way back in the mid 20th century, I remember being lectured that hand washing prevents the spread of disease. Who knew it was true?
