Went for a checkup w my retina specialist (RS) today. No swelling, inflammation under control, the three-year steroid implant works. Next check-up in 3 months. But he is sending a note to my glaucoma specialist (GS): the pressure in my left eye is not only making the optic nerve atrophy, it is now also making it bleed. I go see GS on 5.7 and RS doesn't think I need to rush in earlier, but I do need to call to let GS decide. All this because insurance denied my glaucoma surgery.
