I really don't care about the context. Fat shaming says a hell of a lot more about you than it does whoever you're talking about.

Everyone's journey is different. Mine started when I was svelte 180lb dude in my mid-20's who found himself dealing with the fallout of an L5-S1 discectomy.

It's been a struggle ever since, and not because I am some stereotypical lazy slob who doesn't give a shit about his health.

Karma gave me this perspective. When I was thin, I held some really shitty biases against bigger people. It was uncool then, it's uncool now. /endrant

@kel True, no one sets out a goal to fuck themselves with weight issues (both underweight and overweight), but life is hard and humans are vulnerable. Sometimes shit happens both physically and mentally. Sometimes we lose ourselves. And let’s not forget we all have different levels of capability regarding focus or determination, or a lack available time or even cash on hand. Instead of judging and bashing others, we should be offering support. Real solid support and compassion.
