@kenc313 One of the best classes I ever took in college was the History of Rock and Roll. Starting with field hollers and work songs, we saw (heard) the precursors to blues, jazz, bluegrass, gospel, country and western, rock and roll, ska and reggae. Music would not be as we know it today with out that earliest influence. In ways, we all have appropriated Black culture through our musical tastes.
