In other words, did it have exposition at the start from some random guy or did the movie just start?

I'm still trying to track down the original cut. (Film just starts)

@sentientdessert It was a Ralph Bakshi film, so I assume I must have seen the American cut. ALso, Bakshi is famous for barely putting together enough frames to finish a film, much less have stuff left over on the editing floor. If there was more than one release that's surprising to me.

I think I was so disappointed in the music, it was hard to get into the film itself. It just didn't really sound like Cheap Trick to me, though at least Debi Harry got some good work in.

I rarely watch streams, podcasts, tiktoks, and especially YouTube, etc. as a rule.

I prefer to engage directly and personally with other people. To me, podcasts are just another television set full of content to passively absorb, and that just doesn't suit my temperament. I didn't like television or radio, either.

I may have accidentally invented the essay at one point, rather than see any more operas with my friends.

@sentientdessert However, it occurs to me that you have good taste and you grok my mindset very well, so for you, I will watch. ; )

@sentientdessert Oh, it's music! I went off on my obnoxious little rant for nothing! It is nice, and I'm playing it loud.

@AskTheDevil I have two soundtracks that I enjoy.

There's prime for working like cleaning or doing anything that doesn't require deep thinking.

And there's Cryo Chamber for what I need to work while thinking. It is dark ambient musics. No driving beats, just something to help guide the thoughts into coalescing.

I used to use some lyricless music but found the hi notes and the bass lines were distracting.

@sentientdessert I had to really think about it... the movie began with exposition. I mostly remember that because I've always thought that when they start the movie by trying to explain it, it means they know the movie can't explain itself.
