@cassandra17lina I think fear of prison and losing presidential protection has his orangness listening to some of the adults in the room.
His lawyers will try to trade conviction on misdemeanor for felony which they will appeal immediately and he’ll try (and fail) to run to the middle for the illusion of “both sides”.
@cassandra17lina I suppose it depends on which cohort of supporters. If we’re talking about the hardcore MAGA, they’re in too deep. The wealthy are holding out for the tax cuts and the asset sell off of everyone else. The educated, middle class who have an axe to grind with Democrats I think they are the target to at least dissuade them from voting for Trump. They need a refresher course in the 2016 - 2020 Trump presidency and the validity of legal claims against him.
