I am not a lawyer but… if Mango Mussolini’s assertion that the provisions of the 14th Amendment can be found irrelevant, what about the 22nd Amendment which - if similarly irrelevant - would allow Obama to run for a third term?

@cassandra17lina by the letter of the 22nd amendment Harris could step down, Biden could appoint Obama VP, then Biden steps down making Obama president and not violating the elected two terms prohibition. Why that circumvention was not anticipated is bad law and bad writing.
