I'm gonna do the "Back In My Day" whine.
I want to see Cocaine Bear & I asked a few friends, only one is interested in being entertained by a boisterously goofy coked-up bear 😁
I looked up the theater, (also used the Fandango app, which I've never much cared for), & it appears that when buying a tix, you now have to specify what seat you want. W-T-F??
How the hell do you coordinate sitting together w/ others? I can't imagine doing this back when there'd be 5+ of us going to see a flick.

@CLManussier

What a pain in the ass.

What happens if by the time the person gets all the money from everyone, they go to buy the tickets and there are no more seats together? Do you then have to contact everyone and ask, "Ok folkies, whatcha wanna do now?"

*grumble*

I mean, you can do it in the other direction: one person grabs the seats and then tells everyone what their cut is.

But, like, really, it's not that complicated if you're ALREADY having the back & forth w/a group as to what movie, what theater, what day, what showing, to then have one more text w/the group, "I'll get the tix, everyone send $15 to @xxwhateverxx...."

People really DO do this all the time.

@CLManussier

I'm sure some do. I never have. I only started using Venmo last year, or maybe in 2021 & I think I've made maybe 6 transactions on it.

My issue is mainly w/ the requirement of reserving a specific seat. I find this process as adding another layer to having to make a decision.

My life is extremely chaotic right now & the less trivial stupidity I have to deal with, the better. And yes, having to coordinate a Venmo transaction is a pain in the ass for me at this moment in my life.
